2015 Legislative Docket

In MI Lead

We’re less than five months into the new, 2015-2016 Michigan Legislative session and the Michigan Legislature has already introduced a slew of bills that, if passed, would greatly harm women and families in Michigan (don’t worry, there are some good bills too!).

One of MI Lead’s top priorities is to keep women, their families, and supporters in-the-know on what is happening in Lansing; so that when the time comes, everyone is well informed and ready to take action.

To that end we have begun tracking state legislation that directly affects women in Michigan and compiled it into a handy MI Lead legislative docket.

We’ve organized the legislation into categories: health, economic justice, and violence against women. To make things easier for you, we have identified each bill as either pro-woman or anti-woman. We’ll do our best to keep the docket regularly updated but you can always check on the status of a bill by visiting the Michigan Legislature’s website at www.mileg.org or by contacting us at mileadcoalition@gmail.com.
